MY RITUALS: SAM MOORE

It’s in those busy times in life when rituals become most important.

Those daily rituals carve out moments just for you. They restore balance and perspective in times of tirelessness, ensuring a clear mind and vision.

Sam Moore knows this all too well. The Dead Studios founder has spent the better part of a year gearing up for the launch of his premium flagship store, which has just opened up in Bondi Beach. He's now busy preparing for the official launch party, kicking off November 10.

Between all the chaos and preparation, Moore has kept his sanity by practising daily, weekly and yearly rituals. We took five to discuss.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

I get up and go for a walk around the park, and listen to Podcasts to feel motivated for the day. I shower with Triumph & Disaster Ritual Face Cleanser and YLF Body Wash, meditate for 10 minutes, then smoothie and a coffee.

How do you prepare for those very busy days?

As soon as I get to work, I plan my diary for my daily goals and jobs.

What’s your most important ritual…
Daily?

A morning shower. I can’t operate without one.

Weekly?

I try and surf at least once a week. It’s a great stress release.

Yearly?

Goal setting. It’s important to know where I’m heading and what I have achieved.

What’s your skincare ritual?

A daily face wash with Triumph & Disaster’s Ritual Face Cleanser (I use the Rock & Roll Suicide scrub weekly), then Gameface moisturiser and Tom Ford Black Orchard perfume.

What’s your exercise routine?

I walk or run every morning, go to the gym once a week, surf once a week and play tennis.

Favourite background music for your rituals?

I tend to always listen to business Podcasts and audiobooks.

Rituals…

Bring consistency and balance to your life.
