At Triumph and Disaster we believe if you look your best you will feel your best.
Prepare, perform, protect may sound like the motto of an army battalion but it is something Triumph and Disaster believes in. If you follow those three, simple things then you give yourself the best chance to deal with any triumph or disaster the day throws at you.
Exfoliating your face twice a week (Mondays for business, Fridays for pleasure) will free it from the dead skin cells that build up and expose the healthy cells hidden below.
Cleanse your face daily, but don't use soap. Use a specially formulated skin cleanser that will work to gentle neutralise the natural oils your skin produces but that have become dirty with the daily grime of life.
The simple shower should be part of everyone’s daily ritual. It is important not to shower for too long under hot water as it can strip your skin of natural oils. Again it is important to wash with a cleanser or soap that works with your body.
Some might prefer to shave daily, others might like to let nature decorate your face with a lining of stubble. Whatever you choose shaving over clean skin is a lot better than over an unwashed face.
Clean skin allows the razor to cut more closely to the skin. You also don’t drag dirt and oil around your face.
Once your face is clean then a layer of moisturiser will help keep your skin supple and further protect it from whatever the day throws at it. It is important to chose a moisturiser that is easily absorbed and won’t leave your skin feeling greasy.
As summer approaches this is one of the most important things you can do for your skin. Not only will it help protect it from the sun’s harmful rays, which can age the skin and cause skin cancer, but you won’t end up red in the face. Choose a sunscreen that absorbs quickly, won’t leave you smelling like a pina colada or looking like a clown.
