Give your skin a fighting chance this summer

Triumph & Disaster No Dice Sunscreen
No dice to the sun.
We all love the sun, long days spent at the beach, but with summer just around the corner it is essential you protect yourself against the sun’s harmful rays.

Whether you are out all day in the scorching sun or just doing a bit of sunbathing too much sun is a bad thing. Aside from embarrassing sunburn it can age the skin, and, far more seriously, can also cause skin cancer.

There are a number of things you can use to protect yourself against the sun, and having a good sunscreen is an essential one.
When we say good it pays to pick one with the right ingredients. Our No Dice SP50 sunscreen has been formulated to give your skin a fighting chance against the battle with the sun.

Zinc and titanium might sound like something the terminator is made from, but they are essential elements in a good sunscreen. Green tea helps filter the harmful UV rays and jojoba esters keeps the skin moist.

A BIT MORE ON THE INGREDIENTS

Zinc Oxide - prevents UV light from hitting the skin. Think of it as a physical barrier that reflects the sun's UV rays and prevents them from damaging your skin. Because zinc oxide is not absorbed into the skin, it is non-irritating, non-allergenic, and non-comedogenic, meaning it feels good on and doesn’t clog pores.

Titanium Dioxide - high refractive index, strong UV light absorbing capabilities and resistance to discolouration under ultraviolet light. Sunscreens designed for infants or people with sensitive skin are often based on titanium dioxide as these mineral UV blockers are believed to cause less skin irritation than other UV absorbing chemicals.

Green tea – not just something to drink it is derived from the plant leaf, green tea is an antioxidant and helps protect from free-radical damage. Phosphates in green tea also assist with UV filtering.

Jojoba esters – there is a Billy Conolly joke that where he comes from jojoba is the month after September (works best if you say it in a Scottish accent). It is in fact derived from the seed oil; naturally occurring component of jojoba oil, adds slip and moisturizing properties.

Give your skin a fighting chance this summer.
